Subject: Important Security Update from Sovran

22/7/2024

Dear Valued Member,

Last week, malicious attackers attempted to steal Sovran gold assets from member accounts. We are pleased to inform you that they were not successful. Our blockchain and patented network security protocols effectively protected all member funds. At no point were your funds compromised. Your assets are safe and secure.

However, these attackers did manage to exploit certain account profile details and shared them in an attempt to damage our reputation and business. They also spammed members with various emails containing false information, which temporarily affected our ability to communicate effectively.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and assure you that we are committed to preventing such incidents in the future.

We have taken immediate action:

  • Hired cybersecurity experts to enhance our website security.
  • Initiated professional penetration testing to stress-test our network and website security.
  • Engaged authorities to trace and hold these attackers accountable. We have a good idea of who is behind these attacks and will continue to pursue them until they are brought to justice.

When our service is fully operational again, we will have implemented the following security measures:

  • Password Reset: You will be prompted to change your password upon signing in.
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): All future logins will require a six-digit code sent to your email. Please check your spam folder if you do not see the code in your inbox.
  • Anti-Phishing Code: All official emails from us will include a special code at the top to verify their authenticity.

To further verify our communications, the information in our official emails will also be posted in the News section of our landing page HERE. If you receive an email that is not mirrored on our News section, please delete it and report it immediately.

In summary, our robust blockchain security measures ensured no funds were lost. We deeply regret any compromise of website data and have taken extensive steps to prevent future breaches.

We appreciate your patience and want you to know that the safety of our members and their funds is our top priority.

Warm regards,

Your Sovran Team
